The story behind Dance Pance

My daughter and I started belly dancing a few years ago and wanted to have fun, yet comfortable class wear. I made a pair for myself, and my daughter, based on styles I had seen others wear, but added my own "twist". Other dancers began asking about them, wondering if I could make them a pair and the seeds were "sewn". I spent a year refining the patterns, searching for the right fabric, making many prototypes in the process. Finally Dance Pance was born. The name, my husband's idea, came because when he would ask what the plans were for the evening, or weekend, and I would say "I'm working on my dance pants. The unique spelling of Pance just added a sense of whimsy.
